You all know the drill by now,  I’m going to give you some players you should try to get while their value is still low. I try to also include a player that could be a potential trade option, but most of the time you won’t own that player. If you can’t figure out a player that is in the same “tier”, then never hesitate to post a question(or answer one) in the forums. All right, let’s get started. These are my buy low, sell high options for Week 8 of 2012 Fantasy Football Buy Low Calvin Johnson- I can’t scream this loud enough, TRADE FOR CALVIN JOHNSON NOW!!!! He’s still elite, he’s still talented, he’s still gaining yards, but luckily for owners looking for a discount he’s not scoring touchdowns. Your window in trading for the top Wide Receiver in Fantasy Football is closing, and he’s just way too talented to be this mediocre. Hopefully Titus Young’s explosion will lead to less of a defensive focus on Megatron, but either way you can get him at a great value right now. Try to trade: Any other Wide Receiver in the NFL Jamaal Charles- Remember when there was panic among Jamaal Charles owners after he barely played in a game in which he was active? Well, that basically happened again. Fantasy owners have an incredibly short memory, and coming into this game Charles was leading the league in rushing yards per game. To be quite honest, I don’t know why Charles only got 5 carries. What I do know, is that you shouldn’t be concerned. Football is a completely different sport than Fantasy Football, they’re not worried about your fantasy team. They’re worried about winning, and unfortunately that may not mean the same thing for your team. As the situation changes, he will get more and more carries. Try to trade: Ahmad Bradshaw- You may even want to try to send a feeler to his owner as well, they may be panicking more than you think. Alfred Morris- There’s no doubt that Morris’ play has opened almost everyone’s eyes through the first 7 weeks of the season. He was killing it, and was even entering RB1 territory which was a huge steal for owners who picked him up off the waiver wire. Like I must have said 9 billion times in these buy low sell high articles, fantasy owners have short term memory loss. He just had under 6 points in this past week’s game, so while his value won’t suddenly be gone, he may be considered out of RB1 territory. Whether you admit it or not, us fantasy owners give a shorter leash to a player who they picked up off the wire. You won’t get him for free, but you can get a bit of a discount here. Try to trade: Ahmad Bradshaw(Yea, I’m that unoriginal) Lesean McCoy- This one may seem a bit strange, considering McCoy scored nearly 20 points in this past week. This one is actually targeting fantasy owners who looked deep into the numbers, as he only ran for 49 yards this week. You may think who cares? But he certainly hasn’t played like a top 3 fantasy pick thus far, and it could appear as another dud game to some owners. It may be a bit far fetched, but I think you can still get a top 3 pick for a discount. Try to trade: Chris Johnson Sell High Doug Martin- You don’t know how painful it is for me to write this, but Doug Martin just has to be on this list. I was crazy high on Martin coming into the year, but not as high as his value may be at right now. There’s not a word to describe how dominant he was this past week, and against a very tough run defense too, but there’s no way he can even come close to this production again. Try to trade for: Lesean McCoy Willis McGahee- It seems like the guy who just played the Saints is always on this list, and the trend won’t be ending anytime soon. Hopefully the McGahee owner in your league isn’t as intelligent as you are, and just sees that he’s coming off a big game. Try to trade for: Jamaal Charles Tom Brady- Tom Brady with a running game just isn’t the same for fantasy owners. Yea, he’s still good, but you won’t see many games like this one without his typical terrible running game. Look at all of the elite passers: Rodgers, Brady(in the past), Ryan, Brees, and Manning. None of them have an elite running game, it’s just tough to put up huge numbers as the second option on an offense. Obviously, Brady will still be extremely productive, but not the same guy. Try to trade for: Matt Ryan That’s it for this week’s buy low, sell high article. Hope you enjoyed it or even are able to make one of the suggested trades.
