In a week without Giants football, I figured I’d take a look back and hand out some early hardware. Part one of the “Bye Week Awards” is plays of the year (so far). Best Highlight Reel Play: Victor Cruz’ 68-yard touchdown reception against Seattle There are a number of highlight reel plays to choose from, most of them thanks to Victor Cruz.  Cruz’ first touchdown against the Eagles was a heck of a personal effort to avoid the first defender and dance along the sidelines all the way for a touchdown.  It put the Giants up by 14 and made Giants fans believe that they were finally going to win one against the Eagles. But Cruz outdid himself against the Seahawks a couple weeks later.  The Giants were down five early in the fourth quarter.  It was third and 13, and Eli Manning put a ball up for grabs into double coverage.  No worries; Cruz tipped the ball up to himself, bobbled it, and then caught it with his right hand and ran all the way into the end ...
