Two things that stick out the most after this win for the Buffalo Bills is that Jarius Byrd saved Chan Gailey from possibly losing his job, and Jay Feely may be the biggest tool in the NFL. In case you did not watch the game yesterday, or Sunday Night Countdown, or missed Sports Center this morning, the Bills defeated the Arizona Cardinals yesterday 19-16 in overtime. After being embarressed last Sunday in San Francisco, the team stayed out west where they prepared themselves for the 4-1 Cardinals.
Offensively Ryan Fitzpatrick did not play his best game. The Harvard grad connected on 18 of 32 passes for 153 yards. Both of the Bills touchdowns came via the run with CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson combining for 141 rushing yards. Stevie Johnson caught 8 passes for 83 yards and found himself open quote often against one of the best young cornerbacks in the league in Patrick Petersen. Defensively, the Bills played one of their better games and it all started with the front 7. Mario Williams and Nick Barnett each had two sacks with Chris Kelsay chipping in with one. The defense produced a safety to go along with Byrds two interceptions, the most crucial one coming in overtime which set up Rian Lindells game winning field goal.
