Former Brigham Young Cougars tight end Dennis Pitta represented on Saturday as he made some key catches that led to the Baltimore Ravens knocking off the number one seeded Denver Broncos.  Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens, Tight EndAll three of Pitta's receptions were good for first downs. His second reception came during the final minute of the first half when the Ravens were trying to score and tie the game. He picked up 15 yards and got out of bounds to stop the clock. The Ravens scored on the next play. Two passes intended for Pitta were incomplete. They were both in the fourth quarter when the Ravens trailed by a touchdown. One was on 4th and 5, and the defensive back made a great play to knock the ball away. Even though, Baltimore found a way to force overtime. In OT, Pitta made a leaping grab on 3rd and 13 for 24 yards. Not only did it get a first down, but it got the Ravens away from their goal line. The line of scrimmage on the play was the 3-yard line.
