Cal inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks is going to make a visit to the Steelers this week according to Scout.com.  He will also be visiting with 4 other teams.  One of those teams is the Baltimore Ravens.  It is unknown which day Kendricks will be visiting the team.

Kendricks is considered to possibly be the most athletic linebacker in the draft.  At 5’11 and 240 pounds he also has the frame to stop the run.  With this becoming a pass happy league Kendricks who should be a third round prospect could shoot up the boards due to his speed and ability to cover.  His athleicsim helped him make over 250 career tackles.

The only thing that may hold Kendricks back is when teams ask him to learn plays.  He is not expected to perform well when teams put him up on a white board and give him a play to recite.  Kendricks is stronger with his physical ability then he is in the film room. If he can put both together he could be dangerous.  With coaches like Keith Butler and Dick Lebeau he could turn into an Pro Bowl caliber player.

If the Steelers are unable to pick Dont’a Hightower in the first Kendricks could be a solid pick up in the second or third round.  It will all depend on how the draft falls.

PLAYERS: Dick Lebeau
TEAMS: Baltimore Ravens
