Wide receiver Andre Caldwell did not practice for a third straight day due to groin and abdominal injuries, meaning that he is either out or doubtful for Saturday’s game against Arizona. Caldwell did visit a specialist in Tennessee on Wednesday, but there was nothing new to report. If the Bengals were already out of contention for a playoff spot, it would be a given that Caldwell would be on injured reserve on now, but with the team in contention for the final Wild Card spot, they are trying to give the fourth-year receiver every opportunity to get back in time for the end of the season or for a possible playoff game. Cornerback Nate Clements and linebacker Rey Maualuga also did not practice on Thursday, but that was for non-injury related reasons.
