The Falcons moved quickly to internally fill the void created by the departure of Les Snead, according to the team’s website.
David Caldwell and DeJaun Polk were both promoted on Monday in the wake of Snead being named general manager of the St. Louis Rams.
Caldwell was promoted to director of player personnel and DeJuan Polk to director of pro scouting.
“We are pleased to announce the promotions of Dave and DeJuan,” said general manager Thomas Dimitroff in the post on the website. “Both Dave and DeJuan have been vital to our personnel department and have been tremendous assets to our organization. They have been essential in helping construct our team over the last four seasons. Dave has provided great leadership to our college scouting department and has been instrumental in our draft process. DeJuan started in college scouting, but has been a reliable member of our pro scouting department the last four years and has played a significant role in our evaluation of players.”
