Panthers Locker:
22-year old rookie QB Cam Newton has been very solid for the Panthers so far this year. He has played in all five games for the Panthers so far this year and he has completed 113 of 194 passes (58.2%) for 1,610 yards with 7 TD passes and 6 INTs (84.3 QB Rating). He has also carried the ball 40 times for 160 yards (4.0 ypc) with 5 TD runs. The Panthers are only 1-4 so far this year, but that isn’t Newton’s fault as the defense has really let the team down so far this year.

Video: Cam Newton Isn’t Used To Losing

Panthers fall short against Saints

Tim Tebow vs. Cam Newton
Tim Tebow is a unique NFL quarterback. He doesn’t play the position in a normal, conventional way, but he gets the ball in the end zone and makes winning plays. That’s all you want from a quarterback.
His stats aren’t pretty, but his style of play works. Tebow was 4-of-10 passing yesterday, which isn’t very good, but it was the difference in the play...
Why Cam Newton is Carolina’s goal line back
Cam Newton has five rushing touchdowns this year. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart have one combined. Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski has unapologetically used Newton as the team’s goal line back, and that plan doesn’t figure to change anytime soon. “That’s one place where it’s so compact that it’s hard to get good numbers and so…
