I’m always down for some fun Juan…

Cam Newton brings fun and enthusiasm to the No. Fun. League. Some will say he’s immature, but I think he’s just a big kid running around playing a kids game. I love this guy from a fantasy standpoint as well as a real deal QB this season. Smitty is dealing with a little foot injury right now, but Cam has re-kindled his flame for playing the game. Big things in store for the Panthers this season.

Panthers optimistic with QB Newton at the helm

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Cam Newton cracks a knowing smile when asked about his team's prospects this season. Like many of his teammates, Newton has a hard time suppressing his enthusiasm when it comes to talking about what's happening these days in Carolina. There's an undercurrent of confidence here after the Panthers finished strong in 2011, winning four of their last...

Panthers hold onto Jimmy Clausen

Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera Showed Class By Going For Two

One of the most overlooked aspects of the Thursday night preseason finale between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Panthers was the decision made by Panthers head coach Ron Rivera to go for the two point conversion following the 79 yard touchdown pass from Panthers quarterback Jimmy Clausen to undrafted wide receiver Lamont Bryant with 2:31 left in the game. Rivera could...

Can Cam Newton Continue to Be an Elite Fantasy Quarterback in 2012?

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton exceeded all expectations in his rookie season. The former Heisman Trophy winner transformed the Carolina offense into one of the league’s best last season after the 2010 version was the NFL’s worst. Newton’s ability to rack up points with both his arm and his legs is what makes him such a special fantasy quarterback. The 6-foot...

Can Cam Newton Avoid the Sophomore Slump?

After the Carolina Panthers made him their first overall pick for the 2011 NFL Draft, quarterback Cam Newton did his best to replicate his success of the 2010 season with the Auburn Tigers. Unfortunately, despite Newton’s outstanding performance, the Panthers struggled notably throughout the 2011 season and even this Rookie of the Year could not take the team to the Super Bowl...

Who Will Be The Breakout TE Of 2012?

Riddle me this Juan… I will go through 20 burning fantasy questions leading into the season.  Question #7: Who will be the breakout TE of 2012? There is quite of few young TEs that could really breakout this season such as Kyle Rudolph, Jared Cook, and Jermaine Gresham, but the guy I like to make a huge jump this season is Greg Olsen. Jeremy Shockey leaves behind 37 receptions...

Carolina Panthers Drop Preseason Finale to Pittsburgh Steelers, Make Final Roster Cuts

Despite a late rally, the Carolina Panthers lost their preseason finale to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field  on Thursday night, 17-16. The Panthers, who fell behind 10-0 within the first 15 minutes of the game, bounced back to tie the score in the third quarter when Jimmy Clausen engineered a 10-play, 87-yard drive on his first series, capped off by a 3-yard touchdown...

The Newbie Guide to Fantasy Football

Several years ago, I turned a love of football into a love of fantasy football. I jumped feet first into my first draft, and was shocked at just how much I didn’t know. After all, I was a fan of an out-of-market team. So, I knew my Carolina Panthers, and the NFC South. I was [...]
