Aaron Hernandez's name always come up when you mention the explosive Patriots offense. He's an essential piece of that two tight end attack we unfortunately didn't get to see much of last year. Despite all of the media praise and big contract extension, Hernandez has yet to go to the Pro Bowl. Why is that? Part of the reason is he can't seem to stay on the field. Hernandez has missed at least two games every year since he came into the league. Last year he missed a career high six. What good is a weapon as versatile as Hernandez if he's not out there? It's a scar on Hernandez's resume that he's fully aware of, and one he's determined to fix. ProFootballTalk: “Just been training, trying to get my body right, get my strength up so I can have a decent season next year,” Hernandez said, via Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. “I’d say more attention to specific muscles instead of just doing the basic bench, squat and all that other stuff. I’d say I s...

1 Punch Thrown, 30 Days in Jail, 0 Games Missed. That’s the Patriot Way

Patriots Fans can breath a sigh of relief. Although there was not much about the Patriots defense to be thrilled about last season, the secondary was not as laughable as it had been in recent years. They ranked 5th in the NFL with 20 interceptions and Alfonso Dennard accounted for 3 of them. Dennard, who was drafted in the 7th round by the Patriots, emerged onto the scene in Week...

The former Nebraska player...

Aaron Hernandez Inks Two-Year Partnership with Puma (Photo)

Puma is a company mainly recognized for their flashy futbol shoes and equipment, but it seems, now, they’re making ties with the American football, too. On Wednesday morning, Puma announced a two-year partnership agreement with Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, as apart of a new Puma training team that will feature athletes from “a variety of sport backgrounds.” Hernandez...

Gamer Builds New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium On Minecraft

A.B. I’m not a gamer and therefore have never played or understood the obsession with Minecraft. But don’t tell that to Imagur user Whosyopapi or the nearly 6.5 million fans of Minecraft on Facebook. According to the Minecraft website, “Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. At first, people built structures to protect against nocturnal monsters, but as the...

Edelman gets league minimum base salary

Yesterday the 'mini-Welker' came to terms with the Patriots, and the two parties agreed on a one year deal. With this deal, WR Julian Edelman. Although he has won over the hearts of Patriots fans, it was highly unlikely for a role player like himself to get much money. According to, Edelman's contract is for the five-year league minimum base salary of ...

Alfonzo Dennard sentenced to jail but won't miss football

Alfonzo Dennard punched a police officer in Nebraska almost a year ago. The incident happened prior to the draft and caused one of the top corner prospects to fall all the way to the seventh round, into the Patriots' lap. It was a big risk by the Pats, not only because of the personality issues that could exist after an incident like that, but because Dennard could go to jail...

Gronkowski, who has undergone three surgeries already, is delaying a fourth surgery intended to check on his infection and install a new plate in the repaired left forearm, according to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald. Talking Irish: Bill Belichick

The Notre Dame football program and its fans are often unapologetic in espousing the virtues of their graduated athletes. Thursday night in South Bend, New England Patriots head coach and three-time Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick echoed those Irish partisans.

Danny Amendola has had bad luck with injuries on the football field, and it appears that misfortune runs in the family. Amendola, then the coach of Spring...

Bill Belichick Says He Will Evaluate Manti Te’o With Same Process as Any Other Prospect (Video)

Manti Te’o is the most polarizing prospect in this year’s NFL draft class, but Bill Belichick still plans to evaluate him just like he would any other player. Belichick was in South Bend, Ind., on Thursday to speak at the Notre Dame Coaches Football clinic and talked about the rich tradition of Notre Dame football, some of his connections to the program and even covertly addressed Te’o...

Tight End Streaming: Trusting Your Eyes

It’s best sometimes to remove your head from the numerical quicksand that so slyly sucks you down that statistical rabbit hole, where so many fantasy football teams go to die.I’ve become borderline obsessed with the concept of streaming tight ends in 2013, just as we base our team defenses entirely on matchup, except for when we happen upon an elite defense, like last year...
