In his first prime time game, Robert Griffin III completed 13-of-21 passes for 163 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions while adding 72 rush yards on five carries in Monday night’s Week 13, 17-16 win over the Giants.Griffin didn’t turn the ball over a single time, and that’s key to the Redskins’ success. The rookie signal caller, along with Alfred Morris, engineered the game-winning fourth quarter drive while Pierre Garcon capped it off with an eight-yard touchdown catch. The 72 rushing yards gave RGIII 714 for the season, which broke Cam Newton’s rookie quarterback rushing record from a season ago. With three-quarters of the season in the books, Griffin is on pace to complete 67 percent of his passes for 3,546 yards and a 22:5 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He’s also on pace to rush for 952 yards and eight more scores. Griffin and the 6-6 Redskins host the Ravens for Maryland bragging rights next week.
