The more I watch professional football, the more I'm baffled that more people are not very, very seriously injured each year. Not to be morbid to start the New Year, but it would not surprise me if someone were to die on the field one of these days. Frankly, I'm shocked it hasn't happened yet. I'm not a physics major, but the speed and mass of these guys is getting mind-boggling and despite all the pads, I just don't know...
