Even after the failed Dream Team experiment in 2011 there was still hope, but this season has been worse than any Eagles fan could ever imagine.  After winning our last four games last season, the Eagles look poised to make the playoffs again in 2012. However, after winning three of their first four games, each by a combined margin of five points, they haven’t won since.  Losing eight straight, and firing the Defensive Coordinator as well as the Defensive Line coach, it’s inevitable that Andy Reid is next.  While you are foolish to think that Andy Reid has been a bad coach in his 14 seasons in Philadelphia, it simply is just time for him to go. Not only is Andy Reid going to be let go, but it appears Michael Vick is on his way out as well.  His injury concerns, inconsistent QB play, to go along with his contract make him expendable, and not very missed.  Having decided to start rookie Nick Foles for the rest of the season, is a sign that the organization has moved on.  Foles, so far has been very mediocre in an NFL season where rookie QBs have been taking over.  The Eagles invested a 3rd round draft pick in Foles, but if a better QB option presents itself in the off-season, Philadelphia should take advantage via msn.foxsports.com Come this off-season, the Eagles will have to make changes at the two of the biggest leadership positions in the organization: Head Coach, and Quarterback.  Here are a list of candidates that could replace Andy Reid and Michael Vick in Philadelphia next year. Head Coaches Chip Kelly The current University of Oregon head coach looks to be the next college coach to make the transition to the NFL.  Having turned down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers job last year, it’s been reported that Chip Kelly will listen to NFL offers this go around.  With the Eagles speed and weapons on offense, it wouldn’t take much adjusting for the personnel to adjust to Kelly’s offense.  He is a hot commodity, and likely to be one of the Eagles top choices. Jon Gruden It will be tough to convince Gruden to come out of the broadcast booth, but this would be a great fit.  Gruden runs a similar offense to what the Eagles ran under Andy Reid during his tenure, and is the disciplinarian needed to light a fire under this talented, yet disappointing team. Perry Fewell Fewell has done an outstanding job with the New York Giants defense since he took over as defensive coordinator prior to their first Super Bowl win against New England.  The Eagles defense has been a major problem since the passing of Jim Johnson, so hiring a defensive minded Head Coach could be a solution.  Stealing a coach from a division rival is always a good idea as well. Quarterbacks (Does not include NFL Draft prospects)  Alex Smith Smith was having a career year until he got injured and the 49ers decided to stick with Colin Kaepernick.  Smith has proven to be a very highly efficient, and consistent Quarterback, something the Eagles have lacked from Michael Vick and Nick Foles this season.  With a lot of weapons on offense, Smith would excel in the Eagles offense.  They can run a similar power running scheme of the 49ers with Lesean McCoy. Matt Flynn Bringing in Matt Flynn wouldn’t be a long-term solution, but this would create a Quarterback competition in training camp with Foles.  Flynn had a record-breaking game in Week 17 last season with the Packers, and is currently riding the bench in Seattle due to the success of Russell Wilson.  With Wilson proving to be the QB of the future, Flynn looks to be on the trading block this off-season, and the Eagles could certainly be an interested team. -Blewis
