In Monday’s NFC East match-up between the Giants and Redskins, A fumble-turned-TD led to the only touchdown of the first quarter between the two teams.
The play came from the 28 yard line when rookie QB RGII lined up and ran a triple-read play.
Griffin faked the handoff and took off, to his left, fumbled the ball and it was picked up by WR Josh Morgan who reacted quickly to take the ball into the end zone. The play was reviewed (as all scoring plays are) and it found that Griffin was never down.
