Joe Namath should be proud. Following in the footsteps of the legendary New York Jets quarterback and his "guarantee" before Super Bowl III, New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty boldly predicted the final score of Sunday's game against New England. Canty did so Sunday morning through his verified Twitter account. Asked for a Super Bowl XLVI prediction by an ESPN employee, Canty wrote, "Giants 28, New England 17." The message falls in line with the brashness and confidence Giants players displayed all week in their meetings with the media. Canty had previously told a New York television station to "get ready for a (victory) parade on Tuesday." Giants safety Antrel Rolle also proclaimed Tuesday that New York was "going to win this thing." A seven-year NFL veteran, Canty registered a career-high 47 tackles and a safety as a 16-game starter this season.
