Defensive coordinator Dom Capers is pleased with the play of linebacker A. J. Hawk.“I think A.J.’s a good football player,” said Capers. “I think he’s good in the huddle. He’s done a nice job of calling the signals when he’s in there. He had some physical plays (Sunday) night.”Capers said the linebackers played a big role in stopping the Bears’ running attack, which produced just 86 yards and a minuscule 2.8 yard average per carry.“Part of that run defense, our linebackers got to the ball pretty good,” said Capers. “We put a major emphasis of not getting knocked off the ball and letting our linebackers flow and make plays inside and out.”-- Mike Vandermause, mvandermause@greenbaypressgazette.com
