Cornerback Captain Munnerlyn tweeted that he has re-signed with the Panthers: "It's officially I'm staying a Carolina Panthers !!!!!!! Lets get it"
It is believed to be a one-year deal. Last season, Munnerlyn made a career-high 61 tackles, broke up nine passes and returned two interceptions for touchdowns. He has started 25 games over the past two seasons.
Munnerlyn, who turns 25 next month, also drew interest from the Bears and Browns, among other teams.
