Kurt-warner

It’s official Arizona Cardinal fans, you can come out of the witness protection program now and finally enjoy a team that will be competitive many seasons from now. Card Fans have been in hiding ever since Kurt Warner retired and after the 2011 season, there was nothing to feel good about. You already had to deal with having Matt Leinart and Derek Anderson as the only quarterbacks available to start before they left in 2010. John Skelton began to emerge when the Kevin Kolb trade began to fall apart in 2011. The San Francisco 49ers were emerging as the best team in the NFC at the time. Ken Whisenhunt’s job was on the hot seat for 2012 and so far the rebuilding process after Kurt Warner left will finally begin to pay off.… Read more

It wasn't pretty, but 4-0 Cards got the job done

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- There will be plenty of noticeable blemishes when the Cardinals roll the film of Sundays 24-21 overtime win over the Dolphins at University of Phoenix Stadium. The offensive line and quarterback Kevin Kolb allowed eight sacks. Kolb tossed maybe the worst interception of his career with his team poised to seize control of the game. The running game limped...

Kevin Kolb Continues To Roll With Cardinals

Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb threw for 324 yards and three scores to offset his two interceptions. More importantly, he led Arizona to another win, this time in overtime against Miami.Fantasy Spin:Kolb isn't giving the starting job back to John Skelton, especially when the Cardinals are winning ballgames. He's a risky fantasy proposition but at least he's using top...

Cardinals Pull Off Another Win After Getting Grilled By Rookie…

Cardinals Pull Off Another Win After Getting Grilled By Rookie QB - Jay Feely kicked a 46-yard field goal 6:31 into overtime to keep the Arizona Cardinals unbeaten with a wild 24-21 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The Cardinals (4-0) forced overtime when Kevin Kolb threw a 15-yard touchdown pass on fourth down to Andre Roberts with 22 seconds to play in regulation. Two...

Feeley's kick in OT keeps Cardinals undefeated

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- There's something about overtime games that must appeal to the Arizona Cardinals because they play enough of them and usually, it works out in their favor in the end. It did once again on Sunday as Jay Feely's 46-yard field goal with 8:29 left in overtime clipped the Miami Dolphins, 24-21, at University of Phoenix Stadium. It was the Cardinals'...

Cards notebook: A leg up in the kicking game

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Through four games, the Cardinals have yet to unleash their vaunted return game. But special teams coach Kevin Spencer has no complaints with the performance of his punter and kicker. Dave Zastudil ranks just 12th in the league in yards per punt (47.5), but he is seventh in net yards per punt (42.9), a far more important stat. Hes also fifth in punts downed inside...

Week 4 Fantasy Football Preview: Dolphins vs Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are 3-0 for the first time since 1974.Combining a stout defense with a little bit of luck the Cardinals have beaten both the Patriots and the Eagles. With a backup quarterback and a poor rushing game the Cardinals are one of the early surprise teams of the season.Starting a rookie quarterback is always a big decision, unless it is 2012 where it is the "sexy...

Leach gives strong indication on QB starter

WASHINGTON STATE COACH Mike Leach has not given any definitive answer when discussing his quarterback situation all season. But during his Monday teleconference, Leach gave a strong indication about which signal-caller will start at 3 p.m. Saturday at No. 14 Oregon State (TV: Pac-12 Networks). Leach also discussed Saturday's 51-26 loss against Oregon at CenturyLink Field and much more.

Miami Dolphins vs. Arizona Cardinals: Hero and Zero of the Game

Entering Week 4 of the 2012 NFL season, the NFC was 8-4 in games against the AFC. This comes as a surprise because in previous seasons (Super Bowl aside), the AFC reigned supreme over the NFC in regular season match-ups. With two cross-conference games scheduled today, the lead will grow or narrow. After the San Francisco 49ers pummeled the New York Jets 34-0, the remaining AFC...

Juan Eye On: William Powell

I’ve got fresh legs Juan… We now the story by now…Beanie Wells is hurt, AGAIN.  What a shocking development!  While everyone is excited for Ryan Williams and his prospects (rightfully so), there is this other guy behind him that could see some serious action in the next 2 weeks.  William Powell.  Who is William Powell?  He was the guy who led the NFL in rushing this preseason...
