Tony Romo completed 7 of 10 passes for 142 yards for Dallas (1-2) but was undone by two fumbles by his receivers, one at the Arizona 7. He also overthrew a wide-open Terrance Williams for what would have been a sure touchdown. Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was 7 of 15 for 66 yards. The Cowboys scored on a 5-yard pass from fourth-string quarterback Alex Tanney to Gavin Escobar with 10:55 to play, the first points allowed by the Cardinals (2-0) in the preseason.

QB Tony Romo says WR Terrance Williams is starting to make noise: ‘I think he’s going to be an important part of what we’re doing’

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrence Williams missed the first two preseason games with a concussion, but he’s expected to play Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals. However, in training camp Williams has been coming on strong, but he still has to show his skills in game action. QB Tony Romo says Williams looks to be an important part of the Cowboys offense in 2013.

Dallas Cowboys turn ball over six times in loss

Dez Bryant stripped after reception It seems as if the Dallas Cowboys will forever have a symbiotic relationship with mental mistakes. ESPN Analyst Mark Schlereth has described this relationship the best, “The Cowboys are a 12-4 talent team, but they are a 4-12 mental team, that’s why they go 8-8 every year.” As a team that has finished the past two season at .500, Head Coach...

Cowboys LB Alex Albright will miss the entire 2013 season

Cowboys linebacker Alex Albright will miss the entire 2013 season after suffering a back injury earlier in camp  that require surgery. “I don’t know all of the details but I know it’s a significant injury,” said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, via “He’s out for the season.” Albright is now in his third NFL season and recorded 31 tackles last year. ...

Lee making his mark on Cowboys' defense

OXNARD, Calif. You don't have to watch four weeks of training camp to realize Cowboys middle linebacker Sean Lee has emerged as one of this team's primary leaders. Lee sets the tone for the defense, and that's what led to the most spirited practice of camp Tuesday. That morning, Malibu resident Dick Butkus, widely regarded as the best middle linebacker of all-time,...

Cardinals remain perfect in preseason, top Cowboys

The first half of Arizona Cardinals/Dallas Cowboys game  told the tale of this preseason contest.  The Cardinals made red zone mistakes and failed to drive for a touchdown but scored three field goals in the first half.

Bruce Arians says ‘I don’t see the dominance that everybody else talks about’ with 49ers, Seahawks

Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians once coached with the Pittsburgh Steelers as their offensive coordinator, and went up against the New England Patriots almost annually in the 2000’s. The Steelers won two Super Bowls in that era, while the Patriots won three. So excuse him when he looks at two teams that have a lot of potential, but haven’t won anything yet and puts it...

Cowboys First Team Offense Struggles Continue

The Cowboys dialed up another poor performance, highlighted by several boneheaded turnovers on offense. Yes, it’s the preseason, but you don’t see our rivals within the NFC East struggling on offense. I’ve seen our rivals and they are moving the ball and looking good on offense. The same cannot be said about the Cowboys and the starting offense is running out of time to get...

Fantasy Football advice for the ladies.

Yes, it's here again...for females, we remember this as that dreaded time of the year when dudes hide out in their Man Cave for hours on end, gazing at one particular space on the wall that contains moving images with sound & music. From the opposite side of the house (or even across the street for that matter), we can hear our men...shouting obscenities from their "...

Carson Palmer gives the Arizona Cardinals a legitimate chance to compete

Despite amassing mediocre statistics, quarterback Carson Palmer looked solid in the Cardinals’ 12-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday in Arizona. Traded to Arizona from the Oakland Raiders in April for a 2013 sixth round selection and a conditional pick next spring, the 33-year-old Palmer completed 7-of-15 attempts for 66 yards versus Dallas. Since being taken first overall...

Cardinals 12, Cowboys 7

With the temperature outside reaching a record 114 degrees, the offenses inside University of Phoenix Stadium were anything but scorching. There was a total of one touchdown, thrown by Dallas' fourth-string quarterback, in the Arizona Cardinals' 12-7 victory over the Cowboys on Saturday. Not surprisingly, coaches on both sides praised their defensive efforts while finding...

Cardinals' offense struggles in 12-7 win over Cowboys

There is no need for the grounds crew to slide the entire 100-yard football field inside University of Phoenix Stadium on Monday when the Cardinals resume training camp practices. Twenty yards or so will do just fine at least for the offense. That’s the part of the field that’s given the Cardinals problems in the first two preseason games. And although they beat the Cowboys...

Arizona 12, Dallas 7: Turnovers X6

In the Hall of Fame Game on August 4, the Cowboys ran the ball 34 times for 170 yards and committed no turnovers. That’s a distant memory after this afternoon’s performance against the Arizona Cardinals. Six turnovers. 16 rushing attempts. 44 yards. Yuck. Tony Jefferson makes one of the Cardinals’ three interceptions against the Cowboys on Saturday. Granted, three turnovers...
