NFL Injury Report:
The Arizona Cardinals have announced that quarterback Ryan
Lindley will make his first start this weekend against the St. Louis Rams due
to Kevin Kolb’s lingering rib injury and John Skelton’s ineffective play.
The Cardinals listed Kolb as questionable to play Sunday, as
he’s been limited at practice all week due to his rib injury. It’s not clear if
he’ll be available as a backup, but it is clear that the Cardinals will be
going with their third starting quarterback of the season against the Rams.
The Cardinals haven’t ruled anyone out against the Rams, but
beyond Kolb defensive lineman Calais Campbell (calf), wide receiver Early
Doucet (ribs) and running back LaRod Stephens-Howling (ribs) are all listed as
questionable to play. Everyone else on the team’s injury report is probable to
suit up against St. Louis.

Ryan Lindley will be the Cardinals’ Week 12 starter at quarterback. John Skelton has been benched. Lindley should remain the starter until Kevin Kolb (ribs, shoulder) is cleared to return, which could be as early as Week 13. According to NFL.com’s Albert Breer, the Cardinals “really like” Lindley and were “waiting for the right time” to start him. That’s all good and...
Cardinals rookie QB Ryan Lindley was disastrous in his first NFL start Sunday, completing 31-of-52 for 312 yards but throwing four interceptions with zero touchdowns.Fantasy Spin:Larry Fitzgerald only had three catches on 12 targets and probably can't wait for the season to end.
It has been no secret that the Arizona Cardinals have had a quarterback competition all year long. Although John Skelton was named the Week 1 starter, soon he and Kevin Kolb began battling injuries and it became a week-to-week decision on who would start at quarterback. Now that the season in past the mid-point and the Cardinals are on their third quarterback of the year, Ryan...

TEMPE, Ariz. With coach Ken Whisenhunts announcement Wednesday that rookie Ryan Lindley will start Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, we asked a veteran Cardinals reporter if it was time to craft a Lindley opus for his audience.
Not yet, he said, smiling.
The response wasnt intended as a slight on Lindley. Rather, it was born of wisdom and experience. Lindley will be the fifth...
Either Janoris Jenkins was really good on Sunday, or the Cardinals’ quarterback situation has reached an all-time low. It looked like it was actually a little bit of both.
The Rams’ rookie cornerback intercepted Cardinals rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley twice, and he took both picks back for touchdowns. The first appeared to be a good read by Jenkins — jumping LaRod Stephens...
GLENDALE, Ariz. The starting quarterback cant stay healthy, the backup quarterback cant hit a wide-open freight car and the third-string QB is astonishingly adept at hitting opposing defenders.
Sounds like the trailer to an awful cable TV series, no?
Unfortunately, its not fantasy. Its macabre reality for the Cardinals. And the grisly addendum is that there are no backups left...
GLENDALE, Az. -- A season that started with so much promise has completely disintegrated for the Arizona Cardinals. That's how Sunday's 31-17 loss to the St. Louis Rams began and ended, too. The Cardinals flexed their muscles early behind rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley in his first NFL start, but when things began to unravel, it was too much to overcome as Arizona dropped...
The Rams ended their five game turnover drought with four interceptions of Cardinals rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley on their way to a convincing win in Arizona.Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins, a second-round pick in this year’s draft, returned two of the interceptions for touchdowns as St Louis scored 17 unanswered points to sink Arizona’s slim playoff hopes. In what turned...
Arizona will roll the dice this week with rookie Ryan Lindley at quarterback, a decision that may just about finish off their playoff hopes if it backfires. Not that they have a lot of choice in the matter with Kevin Kolb still recovering and John Skelton looking lost behind an offensive line that has given up a league-leading 44 sacks.Jeff Fisher and the Rams will be looking to forget...
Janoris Jenkins returned two Ryan Lindley interceptions for touchdowns to carry the St. Louis Rams over the slumping Arizona Cardinals, 31-17, at University of Phoenix Stadium.
In addition to the big plays, Jenkins, a rookie out of North Alabama, helped pitch a second-half shutout while limiting star wideout Larry Fitzgerald to three catches for 31 yards.

It looks like Arizona Cardinals quarterback Ryan Lindley could remain a starting quarterback for a while.
Kevin Kolb will be out "several more weeks" because of his injured ribs according to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports. That's a bit of a surprise because Kolb was listed as questionable on the injury report after making practice this week.
When the Rams last met the Arizona Cardinals, the birds stood atop the NFC West with a surprising 4-0 record. However, when we talked to Seth Cox of TSHQ at the time, he was not yet ready to start opening champagne bottles.
As it turns out, he was right to put the celebrations on hold. Since that Thursday night primetime matchup, the Cardinals have lost six games and two quarterbacks...
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Cardinals' game against the St. Louis Rams represented a microcosm of Arizona's season. Something that started with so much promise completely disintegrated.
