He certainly is one that we’re focused on doing that with.” Washington has stated that he wants to be with the Cardinals for a long time. “I certainly want to be here for a long time. This is where I want to end my career, hopefully,” Washington said. “No offer yet,” Washington said, “but hopefully we’ll get something done sooner or later.” Ken Wisenhunt loves what he sees from Washington. “We knew we had a very talented young player, but he had to learn how to play in our scheme,” coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “He’s pu

Back with Cards, Brown moving past criticism

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Levi Brown could have high-tailed it out of town this offseason when the Cardinals released him. Maybe he should have. The Cardinals left tackle has been a lightning rod for media and fan criticism since he arrived as the clubs first-round (fifth overall) pick in 2007 ahead of -- stop us if youve heard this before -- running back Adrian Peterson. After all...

Arizona's dynamic Williams makes cautious return

Ryan Williams stood and watched as his Arizona Cardinals teammates practiced in the spitting rain on Tuesday. The wet turf and some soreness in his surgically repaired right knee led to the decision to keep him out of the workout. It is part of the cautious approach Williams and the team are taking 11 months after he ruptured his patella tendon in a preseason game, an injury that...

Kolb to start Cardinals' first preseason game

Kolb is locked...

KSK 2012 NFL Prekkake: Arizona Cardinals

In 2011, the Buzzsaw finished 8-8. On the surface, that’s not a particularly impressive record, though it becomes somewhat more so when you realize that John Skelton started nearly half of their games. Arizona handed San Francisco one of its three regular season losses. The Cards also lost to the Vikings by 24 points. So, pretty mixed bag altogether. The team won seven of its...

He is also the next target for a contract extension by the team's front office. General manager Rod Graves says Washington is the kind of player the team wants to have around for a long time. Washington also wants an...

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells Will Play In The Preseason

Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt expects to see RB Beanie Wells practicing some time next week and added that Wells will likely play in the preseason. This is certainly good news, considering that Wells estimated his knee at only 75 percent less than a week ago. Arizona is expecting big things from Ryan Williams, so they’ll almost certainly go easy on Wells until he’s feeling...

On eve of fall camp, Leach sets stage for '12

WITH THE START of fall camp less than 24 hours away for Washington State, one thing stands out to Mike Leach. Lack of depth. The head man also touched base on a variety of other topics, including the offseason dismissals that have affected the Cougars’ depth.
