Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb said his ribs aren’t healing correctly and that such is the reason why he’s missed significant time, according to Darren Urban. “Whenever the cartilage broke, (the ribs) are laying underneath my sternum,” says Kolb. “That’s how they are trying to heal, rather than healing where it’s butted up straight against it like a normal cracked rib, flush with each other, mine are laid underneath there. That’s what extends the process.” The Cardinals have received below-average production under center from John Skelton and Ryan Lindley, having dropped out of the playoff hunt after losing Kolb. At this point, the team is more focused on their quarterback resting his ribs for next season considering the voluminous sum of money Arizona has committed to Kolb.
