Michael FloydNewest Arizona Cardinal rookie Michael Floyd finds himself starting at the bottom for the first time in quite a while.

1st round wide receiver Michael Floyd will likely enter training camp fourth on the depth chart, according to Pro Football Weekly. Andre Roberts and Early Doucet are starting to find their groove in the offense and will be doing everything possible to kept their place in line. The coaching staff is reportedly thrilled with Floyd’s work ethic and feel he can “develop at his own pace,”

Arizona’s newest 1st round target has good speed and size, and tracks the ball well in the air. He can out-muscle defenders with ease and has an amazing teacher to look up to in Larry Fitzgerald. Floyd was a master of run after the catch type routes in college and the Cardinals do feel they can utilize him early on.

Still, the Arizona Republic do believe it “wouldn’t be surprising,” if Floyd opened the season as the No. 3 or 4 receiver on the team. While this could be very true, NFL depth charts can be miss-leading. Michael Floyd is the type of player you call a bubble screen for, or a drag route -just to get the ball in his hands. He gives his QB a lot of easy outs and the Cardinals coaching staff are not stupid enough to allow him to be mismanaged.

On paper we may have to watch Floyd work his way up the ranks, but holding a clipboard is out of the question.

Fantasy owners need to draft and stash this Fantasy gem, as his day in the Arizona sun is coming sooner than you think.
