The Arizona Cardinals are in the market for a left tackle,
and they hold the No. 7 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. There are three
big-name tackles available, but there’s also a chance that the trio could be
off the board by the time the Cardinals are up. For this reason, Arizona has
discussed Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Branden Albert, according to
Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910.

The Chiefs also need a left tackle, the position Albert
mans. However, Kansas City could use their No. 1 overall selection to draft a
highly regarded left tackle to plug into the position. This would make Albert
expendable, and it has several teams considering him.
The Miami Dolphins have also been targeting Albert as a
potential fill in for former left tackle Jake Long, who signed with the St.
Louis Rams this offseason. What has stalled talks between the Chiefs and the
Dolphins also figures to be an issue for the Cardinals; Albert is demanding a
significant contract to extend with whichever team he winds up with.
