GLENDALE, Ariz. -- There may still be some imperfections here and there, but the Arizona Cardinals remain a perfect 3-0 three weeks into the season. Arizona's defense forced three turnovers and sacked Michael Vick five times and Kevin Kolb passed for two touchdowns against his former team as the Cardinals cruised to a convincing 27-6 victory over the previously unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium. It's the first time the Cardinals have started a season 3-0 since 1974, when they opened 7-0. "We've played well, but we still haven't played our best," said safety Kerry Rhodes, whose sack of Vick at the end of the first half caused a fumble that was returned 93 yards for a touchdown by James Sanders. "We didn't play lights out. We played good, but we didn't play perfect. That just fuels us every week to get better." The Eagles were also eyeing a 3-0 start despite entering the game having committed n...
BEST OF MAXIM
Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles took a beating at the hands of Kevin Kolb and the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3, losing 27-6. Vick was especially beat-up as he took numerous hits throughout the game, including 5 sacks.
ESPN stats shows the Cardinals defense getting 13 “QB hits” but that can’t be right, the number must be much higher. Vick easily took somewhere...
Michael Vick was knocked into Arizona's bench on his first play and flattened in the pocket later in the series.
His day never got any better.
Harassed all game by Arizona's attacking defense, Vick was sacked five times and had one of his two fumbles returned for a 93-yard touchdown in the Philadelphia Eagles' 27-6 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.
It's time to believe in the Arizona Cardinals, this team is for real. With six seconds left in the first half, Michael Vick dropped back to attempt a throw into the end zone. That's when Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes dropped by and said, "No way," hitting Vick on his blind side and forcing a fumble. Former Patriots safety James Sanders scooped the ball up and took...
The Eagles put on their worst performance in recent memory on Sunday afternoon when they got torn apart by the Arizona Cardinals. With a final score of 27-6, there were many questions that need answering, but perhaps no bigger than the performance of quarterback Michael Vick and if it will effect his role as the number one QB. When asked about a change of QB, head coach Andy Reid...
Eagles coach Andy Reid isn't benching Michael Vick, but he subtly put his starting quarterback on notice Monday. "Right now," Reid said. "We're going with Michael. We'll evaluate as we go." Reid has been here before, and his most recent history of quarterback changes might not make it easy for Vick to rest Monday evening. On Monday, Sept. 21...
Brent Celek key weapon in Eagles offense
The Eagles/Cardinals game in Arizona will be a huge test for the Eagles and the new offensive line. The Cardinals defensive front seven is one of the stronger groups in the NFL and will attempt to control the game at the line, blitzing often. Dallas Reynolds and Demstress Bell will be starting in place of injured starters Jason Kelce and King...
6 seconds to go in the half. Philadelphia Eagles on the 1-yard-line, down 17-0 against the Arizona Cardinals. Kerry Rhodes introduced himself to Michael Vick and the rest, as they say, was history....

The good news is, it's still September, and the Eagles are 2-1...The better news is, our Eagles just got a diagnostic check-up after losing badly to a team which they dominate on paper... and the results pointed directly to the parts of the engine which need either fine-tuning or replacement.A dagger of a TD reception by Larry Fitzgerald in the 1st half... it seemed to be a predictable...
As I said in my last article, the Eagles put on their worst performance in recent memory on Sunday afternoon when they got torn apart by the Arizona Cardinals. With a final score of 27-6, there were many questions that need answering, but perhaps no bigger than the performance of quarterback Michael Vick and if it will effect his role as the No. 1 quarterback. When asked about a...
After defeating his old team, Kevin Kolb helped the Arizona Cardinals advance to 3-0 on the season—something that hasn’t happened since 1974, before the team was even in Arizona. With thousands of fans celebrating after the game, Glendale was buzzing; the energy was contagious.
Despite all of this, during the postgame conference, head coach Ken Whisenhunt said, “We...
Earlier today Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid made it sound like quarterback Michael Vick is danger of losing his starting job.
According to Tom Rock of Newsday, Reid was on WIP Radio in Philly and now says that Vick is their quarterback “period.”
“Michael is our quarterback, period,” Reid said “Michael is our quarterback, period period period.”

There will be plenty of things to look out for when the 2-0 Philadelphia Eagles hook up with the undefeated Arizona Cardinals in their Week 3 NFL matchup.
The story lines are aplenty, especially with ex-Eagle, Kevin Kolb, getting his first start against his former team. But in order to ensure that their former signal-caller doesn’t put a blemish on...
When the Arizona Cardinals host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Larry Fitzgerald will be catching passes from Kevin Kolb for the home team. But the former Pittsburgh Panthers standout wide receiver says he was very close to doing the same for the Eagles.
Ironically enough, Fitzgerald could have even been catching balls from Kolb with Philadelphia, had things gone down a bit differently...
