There’s been chatter in Arizona about the Cardinals possibly trading wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald in exchange for a bunch of draft picks. A team insider  told ProFootballWeekly.com that people are only speculating right now, but it’s not out of the question that Fitzgerald could want out. Is the prospect of the Cardinals actually trading star WR Larry Fitzgerald for a slew of draft picks more than just juicy talk-radio fodder in the desert these days? “It is pure speculation right now,” one team insider told PFW. “Larry will never talk about it, but it will be interesting to see if he actually does ask to be traded in the offseason. It’s conceivable, I guess. It all depends on which direction the organization decides to go. I would think it could really be hard to sell tickets without your top box-office draw. Plus, you’d be talking about a cap hit in the double-digit millions. Right now, it’s a hot topic on the airways that seems a lot less likely when you start to realistically ...

Larry Fitzgerald: "It's been a struggle for eight weeks"

The Arizona Cardinals started out 4-0 and it looked as if the red birds had arrived. However, 8 straight losses has sent the feel good story to an almost tearjerker. “You gotta laugh to keep from crying,”

Cards desperate to avoid record-tying skid

TEMPE, Ariz. Ken Whisenhunt is the only coach in Cardinals history to coach in a Super Bowl. Hes the only Cardinals coach with double-digit playoff wins in franchise history, and he has four of the clubs six postseason victories. Unless Whisenhunt can work some magic with an offensive lineup that borders on tragic hes about to equal and maybe soon surpass -- an unwanted additional...

Larry Fitzgerald on Cardinals offense: ‘I have to laugh to keep from crying’

When asked about the Arizona Cardinals offense, Larry Fitzgerald told the Arizona Republic, “I have no words, I have to laugh to keep from crying.”While the defense has played well this year, the offense has been abysmal and it doesn’t seem like there is any improvement coming anytime soon.  Forgetting about their quarterback play, their offensive line can’t even block...

Lindley, Cards struggle again in 7-6 loss to Jets

Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt considered a quarterback change before sticking with the struggling Ryan Lindley. The argument for a switch - as the New York Jets did with Mark Sanchez - was compelling during the Cardinals 7-6 loss on Sunday, their eighth straight defeat. Lindley had a miserable game: 10 for 31 for only 72 yards, one interception and a dismal 28.0 quarterback...

Mark Sanchez threw a pick to Arizona’s Patrick Petersen who made a circus catch

The New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals are engaging in a game to see who can score the least amount of points in the most embarrassing way. Mark Sanchez actually threw I decent ball (I couldn’t believe it either) but that wasn’t enough for Arizona’s cornerback Patrick Petersen to snatch it right out of the New York Jets’ wide receivers hands. Petersen, formally of LSU...

Cardinals Injury Report: Kevin Kolb, Calais Campbell, Beanie Wells

The Arizona Cardinals have listed several players, including running back Beanie Wells, defensive end Calais Campbell, wide receivers Early Doucet and Andre Roberts and quarterback Kevin Kolb, as questionable to suit up tomorrow against the New York Jets. Kolb isn’t available to start for the Cardinals, Roberts isn’t expected to play, and Campbell (calf) is likely to be a...

Jets coach Rex Ryan later called Rhodes "selfish" in his book.Rhodes was plenty selfish Sunday against his former team. Rhodes intercepted Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez twice and forced a fumble in the Cardinals' 7-6 loss. He also had six...

PREVIEW: NY JETS (4-7) vs. AZ CARDINALS (4-7)

The New York Jets host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in a game where both teams are surprised about where they stand at this point in the season."We feel we're a better football team than our record indicates, and I'm sure they do as well," said Rex Ryan on Wednesday.  "They should feel that way. Both teams are hungry for a win, and I think there probably...

Jets expect 'run, run, run, play-action' from Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals will be starting sixth-round rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley Sunday when they play visitor to the New York Jets, and the Jets don't expect the Cardinals to leave much to chance. “They have a rookie quarterback, so they are going to try to keep the game plan conservative — run, run, run and play-action," Jets linebacker David Harris told Eric Allen...

Fitzgerald, Wells searching for help

For most NFLers, life ain't bad. Opulent contracts, endorsements, free swag and fame, all deriving from their aptitude in a child's game. Yet living life in luxury doesn't preclude football players from creating their own wish lists during the holidays. Luckily, we were able to obtain a copy of their desires from the duds and studs of Week 13: Christmas List for Studs...
