Sports Report Arizona:
The Arizona Cardinals waited until the NFL’s 3pm deadline to release their 53 man roster to the public. Head coach Bruce Arians acknowledged that he spoke to the team following the initial cuts a day ago regarding no one being safe. The list of final cuts underscore that comment as former Arizona State Sun Devil Kerry Taylor was among the final group waived just a day after he tweeted he had made the team. The late announcement no doubt could be interpreted as the team making every effort of seeing who was reportedly being waived and adjusting their lists accordingly.
The team also placed TE Jeff King and DT Ricky Lumpkin on Injured Reserve. King underwent surgery on a knee injury while Lumpkin has battled a lingering hamstring injury.
Players waived today are eligible to be signed tomorrow afternoon. Practice squads will then be signed on Monday. Below is the list of players waived today by the Cardinals.
LB Reggie Walker
WR Kerry Taylor
OT Jamaal Johnson-Webb
LB Kenny Rowe
DT Padric Scott
We’ll have more coverage on the 2013 roster over the next few days. There will be many more changes before the start of the season.
