Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap today was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week by the NFL. The third-year pro from Florida had two sacks of Philip Rivers at San Diego last week, and on each one he forced a fumble. The Chargers recovered the first fumble, in the first quarter, but the resulting seven-yard loss was key in forcing them to settle for a field goal and a 7-3 deficit. Late in the fourth quarter, Dunlap dropped Rivers for a 10-yard loss, to the San Diego 15, and Dunlap recovered the fumble himself, returning two yards and setting up a field goal that produced the eventual 20-13 victory margin. Dunlap totaled five tackles in the game, and was credited by coaches with four additional QB pressures. Dunlap leads the Bengals for the season in fumble recoveries (three) and is tied for the lead in forced fumbles (three). He ranks tied for third in sacks (4.0) and third in QB pressures (17) . Dunlap is the second Bengal this season to win AFC Defensive Player of the Week, joining DE Mic...

Bengals sign Josh Brown to Replace Injured Nugent

The Bengals have signed kicker Josh Brown to replace the injured Mike Nugent (calf) in Week 14 against the Cowboys.Fantasy Spin:Brown kicked for the Rams in 2011-12, making 21-of-28 field goals. While Dallas has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to kickers this season, you can probably find a safer option than Brown Sunday.

Adam Pacman Jones rips Cowboys coaches as he talks redemption

Adam “Pacman-Jones has always represented every negative cliché that has been associated with the NFL. He was the kid that wasted his elite talent. He was the kid got into legal trouble. He became the man that wasted his money making-it-rain in the club. He’s been the free agent that nobody ever wanted because of his bad attitude. We can go on and on and on. Yet somehow life...

WDW Episode 92 – It Wasn’t Pretty But It’s a Win

Well it wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win and that’s all that matters at this time of year. The Bengals historically have not played well on the West Coast but to win in SD despite not having your best day on offense is a huge step for this team. Have to give it up to this defense though. They have allowed only 1 TD in the last 3 games, a fluke TD in garbage time vs the Raiders...

Nick Lachey has altercation with Chargers Fan (Video)

Nick Lachey, a diehard Cincinnati Bengals Fan, was in San Diego for the Chargers-Bengals game.  Naturally, there was an altercation between him and a Chargers fan in his vicinity.  Lachey was removed from the Stadium, and it is being reported that the Chargers fan involved in the altercation will be filing a lawsuit.  I doubt it will get anywhere though, because it will be their...

Nick Lachey Kicked Out of Bengals-Chargers Game After Trash Talk, Scuffle in Stands (Video)

The last time the likes of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson popped up in the sports world, Simpson was jinxing — er, dating — Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. But now her ex-husband, Lachey, may be the one with the better sports story. Lachey, who is known to be quite the Cincinnati Bengals fan, was apparently kicked out of the Bengals-Chargers game Sunday after getting involved...

A Look Back to 1973: Cowboys Dominate Bengals in Their First Meeting

Cliff Harris returns a punt against the Cincinnati Bengals in 1973. Though the Cincinnati Bengals became a franchise in 1968, the Dallas Cowboys did not face the new Cincinnati team until 1973. That was because the Bengals were part of the AFL until 1970, and the teams were in different conferences when the leagues merged in 1970. The teams finally met on November 4, 1973 at Texas...

Winning In The Trenches

After getting whacked in the knee by my comrade DonnieRedboy yesterday (you’re still my bro, though!), I got to thinking about his comment that Dalton’s play in San Diego. He said: “The first thing that went wrong in SD was Dalton. He was not playing like the top caliber QB that he has been.” True, he did not look as sharp as he had in the previous three wins. That’s mainly...
