Plenty of people have the habit of hitting the local garage sales on Saturday morning to scope out those “diamonds in the rough”. Not to sound to cliche, but it’s true, one man’s trash is another’s treasure.
Carolina Panthers fan Matt Rowell made a find that very few would ever expect at one such sale. At a local Charlotte garage sale, Rowell found a Carolina Panthers Super Bowl playbook that included plays from the team’s 2005 matchup with the New England Patriots as well as sensitive financial information for several players from the 2004-2005 Panthers squad.
A person with less of a conscience than Rowell, and perhaps one that was less honest, could have done some very sinister things with this playbook– at a minimum made a quick buck off of it by doing a little EBay auction.
