After starting the 2012 season 1-6, the Carolina Panthers finished on a hot note winning their last 4 games to finish the season with a decent 7-9 record. That is still not the season that Panthers fans and ownership had in mind after quarterback Cam Newton had a record setting season in 2011.Newton and the Panthers offense struggled all season ranking 16th in passing and 9th in rushing. Their defense struggled at times to ranking 13th in the league against passing offenses and 14th against rushing offenses. The Panthers are a team that is paying way to much money for players to rank in the middle of the pack. They have made some promising picks over the past two seasons in the draft and now need to finish adding a supporting cast to go along with their young future. In order to continue building their team in 2013, the Panthers are going to have to clear cap space as many teams are having to do. So far they have restructured the contract of safety Haruki Nakamura to free up about $500,000 and tight end Greg Olsen to free up roughly $2 million. With Olsen and Nakamura doing there parts to help ownership get to a championship contending point there are still answers that Panthers fans and ownership have about there team. To go along with the salary cap issue, here are five questions about their team the Panthers need answers for.
