Josh Norman intercepts four passes in practice
Despite coming from a small-time college football program at Division 1-AA Coastal Carolina, Josh Norman never doubted that he would ultimately play in the NFL.
The rookie cornerback certainly doesn’t mind tooting his own horn, and has quickly gained a reputation of being cocky.
In June OTAs, the fifth-round pick took a jab at Panthers star wideout Steve Smith, telling the Charlotte Observer that he not only stayed step-for-step the 11-year veteran, but even frustrated him with his defense.
Now, Norman – who missed most of the first two weeks of training camp with a hamstring injury – backed up his off-the-field brazenness with an incredible four-interception performance in Tuesday’s practice.
When asked about his play, the 24-year-old former All-American acted it like it was just another day at the office.
“Just gotta do it again tomorrow,” he told the Charlotte Observer.
