The Carolina Panthers possess a plethora of talent on their roster.  There’s no question that Ron Rivera’s up-and-coming club can compete with the top teams in the league heading into the upcoming 2013 NFL regular season. However, the Panthers have yet to prove that they can put it all together and perform at a high level for a full season and the team didn’t add very many new pieces via free agency or through the draft. Toss in an absolutely brutal 2013 schedule that features the New England Patriots, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams and of course two meetings with the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it’s easy to see why the Panthers aren’t expected to be playing in January.
