Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is expecting big things in his second year in the NFL.The AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year told reporters, during the unveiling of statues of himself and fellow Auburn Heisman winner Bo Jackson, that his offseason training has his improvement “through the roof” heading into the OTA sessions."I've had the whole offseason to work on the things that I feel like I need to get better at (and that) will come into fruition. With the upcoming OTAs, I feel like that's another time for me to get better,” Newton told reporters.Newton, the No. 1 overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft, passed for more than 4,000 yards, 21 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He also added 706 yards rushing and 14 scores on the ground.
