For three days prior to the Ravens’ preseason game against the Washington Redskins on Thursday night, Chris Carr practiced – albeit on a limited basis. But the cornerback did not play in the team’s 34-31 win against Washington, and Carr, the only cornerback to start all 16 regular-season contests last year, said he had no argument about sitting out and giving his left hamstring more time to heal. “As a competitor, you want to be out there, so it’s disappointing, but you’ve got to think about it,” Carr said. “If I go out there and hurt myself and I’m missing more games, I’m going to look back at this and say, ‘That was really stupid.’ So you want to make the prudent decision, and today was a prudent decision. I think now, I’m starting to get over the hill, and I’ll be fine.” Carr, who tweaked his hamstring on Aug. 14, said he plans to be available for the final preseason game at the Atlanta Falcons.
