Seattle receiver Golden Tate was fined by the NFL for the violent block he put on Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee on Sunday, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. In a radio interview with KJR-AM in Seattle on Wednesday, Carroll said Tate has been fined and intends to appeal. The Seahawks were off Wednesday as they prepared for a Monday night home game against Green Bay. Lee said Wednesday that doesn't blame Tate for blocking him and that it was just part of football. The linebacker says the only issue he had ''a little bit'' was how Tate celebrated, but acknowledged that's part of football, too. Lee still has a mark on his lower left chin from the play in Sunday's 27-7 loss at Seattle.

Such is the situation Tate finds himself in after laying a block that flattened Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee and drew a fine from the NFL....

Pete Carroll fully supports Greg Schiano’s approach to kneel-down play

A number of mixed opinions have surfaced since Greg Schiano ordered the Bucs to play hard until the final whistle against the Giants last Sunday. Tom Coughlin was the most upset about it and Justin Tuck didn’t seem too far behind. Jerry Jones thinks the kneel-down play should be eliminated altogether and we here at LBS don’t see what all the fuss is about. Neither does Pete...

Seahawks/Cowboys drunken fans (fools) fight after Seahawks win

The Seahawks weren’t very pleasant hosts to the Cowboys this weekend.  Seattle’s running game had their way with the Cowboys’ defense, rushing for 182 yards on 41 carries on their way to a 27-7 win.  Golden Tate knocked the stuffing out of Dallas linebacker Sean Lee.  And after the game, drunken Seattle slobs ganged up on some Cowgirls fans.
