The Seattle Seahawks have had a hard time moving the football on the field and despite all the troubles head coach Pete Carroll said he is sticking with his rookie quarterback. "We're going with Russell right now," Carroll told The News Tribune. "He's working his tail off to get it right, and where all of the focus goes to the quarterback position, there's a lot of guys who figure into what's going on, and he's one of them. So we're just trying to get better." Wilson played well enough in the preseason to win the job from prozed free agent pickup Matt Flynn, but has seemed to struggle this season. The Seahawks are ranked last in total passing with 130.8 YPG and ranked 29th in total offense in large part to Marshawn Lynch's solid year. Another reason Carroll may be sticking with Russell Wilson is that Flynn's elbow injury is keeping him out of practice and limits his throws in workouts. "Matt's ready to play," Carr...

Seahawks staying with Wilson as starting QB

Despite Seattle's offensive struggles in its first four games, the Seahawks are sticking with rookie Russell Wilson as their starting quarterback. Coach Pete Carroll told The News Tribune of Tacoma, Wash., that Matt Flynn, the team's big offseason acquisition, wasn't ready to play because of an elbow injury that has limited him in practice. But Carroll later backtracked...

Wagner not looking like rookie so far for Seattle

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By TIM BOOTH AP Sports Writer The question asked of Seattle coach Pete Carroll had nothing to do with Bobby Wagner. After the way Wagner has played in the first quarter of the season, Carroll made it a point to recognize how well his rookie middle linebacker is doing making the adjustment from college to the NFL. Through four games...

Russell Wilson had a very rough outing this weekend versus the Rams

Russell Wilson had a rough go of it in Seattle’s 19-13 Week 4 loss to the Rams, completing 17-of-25 passes for just 160 yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions.  Wilson was under constant pressure, Wilson was routinely flushed from the pocket, but only one of his three interceptions was his fault. Doug Baldwin let the ball get ripped out of his hands late in the second...

The latest example of Geraldo's class and dignity on television came as he discussed the Seattle Seahawks/Green Bay Packers controversial...

Seahawks MMQB: Miscues and missed opportunities as Seahawks lose 19-13

The better team won I should re-phrase that, the team that played better on Sunday won.  Hats off to the St. Louis Rams for the big divisional win.  The Rams coaching staff put together a great game plan that put the team in position to win. The players executed the plan and that is why they won.  On the other side of the field, the Seattle Seahawks entered the Edward Jones Dome...

Moments in time…The Seattle Seahawks week that was

Silence of the lambs With everything going right in the Seahawks world going into Sunday’s divisional matchup with St. Louis, the Hawks sure picked a bad time to let their true colors show. Now the world can really see that the win the previous week was a fluke, and we are the the laughing stock of the NFL community. Sure, there are worse teams that us, but to ride high with...

Leave it to the Seahawks, though, and they’ll surprise you in many ways. After looking stellar...

Bettor Geno DiFelice won $725,275 on Packers-Seahawks Hail Mary call

Amid the influx of horror stories we have heard about replacement officials and how awful they were for the game of football, there is at least one story that sticks out from all the rest. By blowing one of the biggest calls in NFL history and essentially handing the Seahawks a win over the Packers last week, the NFL’s replacement refs changed the lives of Branford, Ontario’s...

Canadian Dude Goes 15-for-15 in Picks During ‘Seahawks vs. Packers’ NFL Week 3 and Wins Over $700,000

I saw this article on BustedCoverage yesterday. Pretty awesome…. “Gino DiFelice and his Brantford family might want to send NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a gift basket for prolonging his labour dispute with the league’s officials. While the regular NFL officials went back to work last Thursday, DiFelice was revelling in his big Proline win, thanks in part to the replacement...
