Thanks, in part, to an unnecessary roughness penalty on Ray Lewis late in the drive, Carson Palmer and the Bengals completed another late comeback to take over first place in the AFC North with a 17-14 victory over the Ravens. No doubt, there will be more gnashing of teeth about the officiating, but the Lewis penalty was legit. He hammered a defenseless Chad Ochocinco, knocking his helmet off, as the ball sailed well out of the reach of anyone. There were three defensive penalties on the final drive, which evoked a stadium-wide chant that the referees, well, stink. Don't know if you can blame this one on them. The Ravens never looked particularly sharp in this game, and they were fortunate to be leading in the final minutes.
