At least one of Terrell Owens‘ former quarterbacks likes him. Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer, who completed 72 passes to Owens during the 2010 season when they were teammates in Cincinnati, invited Owens along for a workout this offseason with Raiders receivers Darrius Heyward-Bey and Eddie McGee and tight end David Ausberry. Palmer said it was great for those youngsters to see how an old veteran like Owens works

New Regime or Old: Rolando McClain Must Go

I see it written, and hear it spoken; “Rolando McClain doesn’t fit with what Reggie McKenzie and the new regime is doing in Oakland.”  That’s an incomplete or just plain ignorant comment, simply because Rolando McClain doesn’t fit into the Oakland Raiders of any era.  That comment makes it seem as if he’s the poster [...]

T.O. wants to play for 49ers or Raiders

T.O. still hasn't given up his dream of playing in the NFL again. He says on a radio interview that he still has interest in a few teams.

Terrell Owens Wants to Finish Where it Started

I came across this nice little piece on Terrell Owens from the Bay Area Sports Guy. Owens was interviewed by Brandon Tierney and Eric Davis on 95.7 FM “The Game”. It will not air until Monday, but Bay Area Sports Guy received a transcript via email: Would you have been a better fit with the 49ers (in response to the team taking a chance on Randy Moss): Owens: “Would I have...

Green, Dalton continue to make strides

With as much as A.J. Green and Andy Dalton accomplished their first year in the NFL, they might be even better in year two. During the Bengals' offseason conditioning program, coaches have been impressed with the strides both players have made not just in grasping the offense but in showing their leadership. "They've grown and experienced a lot. They're not the...

Projecting The Defensive Roster

Thanks to everyone who has voiced their opinions about how you think the Bengals’ roster will shape up over the coming months. The great thing about discussions like this is that anything can still happen for the guys we like, and we can all learn something from each other, so keep those comments coming. While I am not as secure with the backfield as I would like to be, I think...

Juron Criner turning heads at Raiders OTAs

The Oakland Raiders had a depleted draft, and their salary cap situation prevented many big free-agent splashes. The organization could use a dose of good news, and it got some from fifth-round rookie receiver Juron Criner Tuesday at OTAs

AFC North Preview Part III: The Cincinnati Bengals.

The Cincinnati Bengals had an outstanding 2011 season, and hope to have a great 2012, but it may be tough to repeat their success from last year. The Bengals cashed in on their magical draft bringing together a great battery in A.J. Green and Andy Dalton. They took the league by storm and opened a lot of eyes. Their defense also performed better than expected finishing in the top...

Bengals sign top draft pick CB Kirkpatrick

The Bengals have signed cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick of Alabama, their top pick in the draft. It's the fastest they've gotten a top pick under contract since 2003. Kirkpatrick was the first of Cincinnati's two picks in the opening round, going 17th overall. He's expected to compete for a starting job, teaming with Leon Hall at cornerback. Hall is recovering from a...

Report: Bengals' Moch facing 4-game suspension

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Dontay Moch reportedly has been suspended by the NFL for using a banned substance. Pending an appeal, Moch will have to sit four games, according to CBSSports.com. Moch was taken in the second round last year after running the fastest 40 time among linebackers and lineman. However, he missed all of his rookie season with a broken metatarsal bone...

Bengals sign rookie Dre Kirkpatrick

Getty Images According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals have signed rookie cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick. ESPN’s Josina Anderson has confirmed that Kirkpatrick will receive $7,840,095 fully guaranteed. With Kirkpatrick being 6’2″, he’ll be able to match up against taller receivers and tight ends. In the end, the Bengals have immediately upgraded their secondary...

Raiders’ Rolando McClain sentenced to 6 months in jail

Rolando McClain’s court case for assault with a deadly weapon did not last long. McClain, who allegedly pointed a gun at a man’s head last November, was found guilty of the charges today after a codefendant agreed to a plea and agreed to testify against him. McClain has been sentenced to 6 months in jail, though he will appeal the ruling. It’s unclear when he’ll start his...

The Coming Quarterback Conundrum

The backup quarterback. The captain of the clipboard and backward baseball cap. Every team has one or two. While the other 51 guys on the roster are expected to produce to keep their jobs, everyone hopes that these guys will never have to step onto the field to earn their checks. And like every team, the Bengals will have to make one of three decisions about theirs. 1. Keep Just...

Bengals sign first-rounder Kirkpatrick

Cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, the 17th overall pick in the 2012 draft by the Bengals, signed a four-year deal Friday. At 6-2, 186, Kirkpatrick has the size, arm length and experience to become a rookie start in defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer's press-cover scheme. "He has quick feet. He moves his feet laterally pretty well," Zimmer said. He does a great job in bump...

Terrell Owens has made it no secret that he wants to return to the NFL and resume his once proud playing career. The 38-year-old diva who can barely cover his own expenses and child support said that he would love nothing better to resume his career in the Bay Area of California.
