When QB Carson Palmer was traded to the Oakland Raiders and thrown into the mix after Jason Campbell went down, he says he just basically winged it without having a chance to get acclimated to the offense.
This year will be very different, he tells the Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury-News.
"No comparison,… I mean, no comparison." He says he never had a chance to get comfortable under Hue Jackson.
"I didn't even read every page in the playbook," he said. "I didn't have a chance. I didn't even read 50 percent of it. I was just trying to read the plays I was hoping (coach Hue Jackson) would call."
Apparently, Jackson called the other half of the plays Palmer didn’t get a chance to read.
In 10 games in Oakland, he had 13 TDs, 16 INTs and was sacked 17 times.
"When you go back and look at it, the first game I played in, I never even watched a snap of tape of Kansas City, because I wasn't going to play," Palmer sai...
