Oakland Raiders QB Carson Palmer is just as uncertain about his future with the team as everyone else is. One thing's for sure though, he'll likely need to take a playcut to stay. Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie made it clear that there will be a QB competition in 2013, presumably involving Palmer and Terrelle Pryor. Carson is scheduled to make a base salary of $13 million this season, with a salary cap number of $15.335 million. That's a lot of money. He's also due to make base salaries of $15 million in 2014, 2015 and 2016, with salary cap numbers of $17.335 million for each of those years. "Not sure what's going to happen," Palmer wrote in an email exchange with Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com. "Would love to be back in Oakland and compete." var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
