PLAYERS: Brent Grimes
TEAMS: Atlanta Falcons

According to a report from Pro Football Weekly, the Falcons are preparing to move on from CB Brent “Grimetime” Grimes, when he hits unrestricted free agency in March. According to the report, The Falcons feel that they may be priced out of the market for Grimes and with 17 other free agents upcoming this year, they may be better off spending the money elsewhere. Another potential issue that has emerged in this report, is that most Falcons were surprised when Grimes elected not to play against the Giants in the playoff game, as he seemed set to play throughout the week. Now, I’m not sure how true this report actually is, but i think it would be a terrible mistake to let Brent Grimes go. I realize that the Falcons are looking to switch to a more aggressive scheme, where more pressure is placed on the corners to cover in man coverage and on paper you could say his smaller size could be a potential issue. Real Falcons ‘fans’ need to thank Coach Mularkey

FLOWERY BRANCH – Real Falcons ‘fans’ need to step up and send thank you cards to new Jacksonville coach Mike Mularkey. Some of you, before disrespecting Mularkey, need to reflect and look...

Blogging Dirty Defensive Coord. & Divisional Round

Free Agency for the Falcons does not begin until March 13, and my colleague Jamie Kelly has done a great job covering our offensive and defensive coordinator situation for us. 2012 Fantasy Football Sleeper: Running Back Jacquizz Rodgers

Could Jacquizz Rodgers prove size doesn't matter in 2012? In the second part of my offseason Fantasy Football Sleeper analysis, I want to talk about a little guy who really didn’t get much of a chance to shine in Atlanta as a rookie. With the Falcons’ early exit last weekend against the Giants in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, it’s time to talk about what...
