Found August 23, 2013 on Pro Football Zone:

Cornerback Richard Marshall was cut by the Dolphins earlier in the week. We reported yesterday that Marshall had met with the Chargers and other teams were interested(today we found out that other team was Jacksonville). Per the U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken, Marshall chose to sign with the Chargers today. Gehlken says that Marshalls familiarity with the Chargers defensive back coach, Ron Milus, helped in signing him. CB Richard Marshall has agreed to one-year deal with Chargers, league source confirms. Familiarity with DB coach Ron Milus helped land him. — Michael Gehlken (@UTgehlken) August 23, 2013 Marshall adds depth to the weakest position for the Chargers. He’ll likely start out as the nickle corner but I wouldn’t be surprised if Marshall ended up starting at some point in the season. Need NFL Tickets? Loading... I probably won’t have to worry too much about Sanchez, as it looks like rookie...
