Fox Sports Wisconsin:
GREEN BAY, Wis. Just because Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and CBS aren't on good terms apparently doesn't mean the network airing the Super Bowl this year isn't willing to work with other Green Bay players.
CBS announced Thursday afternoon that it has added Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews as a contributing analyst for its Super Bowl pregame coverage.
Rodgers took offense to the piece that CBS aired on its 60 Minutes program in early November that focused on his sensitive nature and not any of his work with the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer).
Rodgers was part of NBC's Super Bowl coverage last year, but given his rocky relationship with CBS, Rodgers knew he wouldn't be in the same role this year.
"I can say I won't be working for CBS," Rodgers said on his ESPN Wisconsin radio show earlier this week. "Not a huge surprise there, but I won't be working with them."
Aside from being one of the NFL's best pass rushers, Matthews is frequently seen in television commercials. His most notable endorsement deals are with Suave and Gillette. Matthews also has appeared in recent commercial spots for Fathead and Verizon, and he has joined Rodgers for a State Farm advertisement.

Matthews: America’s football family
There’s Sr., and Jr., Clay III, Casey, Bruce, Kevin and soon Jake will join them. Who am I talking about? These seven people make up what could, and should, be considered America’s football family. Six of the above have or are playing in the National Football League and the last name on the list will be a top pick by a team in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Matthews family is equaled...
Why is Aaron Rodgers’ Leadership Constantly Under Fire?
Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. This much I know.
I also was firmly in the quarterback’s corner when allegedly unnecessary cheap shots were thrown his way by commentators, former NFL players and relatives and agents of his current teammates. It appeared to me, at the time, that these comments were driven mainly by jealously of Rodgers’ success. Rodgers...
Report: Rodgers not expecting call from CBS
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Aaron Rodgers knows he won't be appearing on Super Bowl lead-in coverage this season as he did a year ago. After all, this year's Super Bowl is on CBS, the network responsible for the "60 Minutes" piece that Rodgers took offense to earlier this season.
"I can say I won't be working for CBS," Rodgers said on his ESPN Wisconsin radio...
Aaron Rodgers: The Pro Bowl is a circus, sits out
Year after year, the annual NFL Pro Bowl continues to become a joke to some including Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers.
His sentiments haven’t changed, ”After the Pro Bowl experience, the things that happened at the hotel, during the week and then in the game, I just thought was so disappointing,” he told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “Not only myself, the coaching staff...
Green Bay Packers: Season in review
Due to the success of the Green Bay Packers franchise it is difficult to sum up a season in which a very talented team falls short of the Superbowl and the NFC Championship game for a second year in a row.
This season’s team had a lot of talent on their roster, but once again, in the playoffs they where beat up and sent home packing far earlier than Packer fans would like.
And...
Aaron Rodgers says keeping Charles Woodson should be a priority
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told Jason Wilde on his weekly show on WAUK-AM (540) that Charles Woodson is one of the core players of the team and needs to be brought back for next season.
“I know he is under contract and that he is an important part of our football team,” Rodgers said about Woodson. “I think he adds a lot. He is still playing at a really high...

Woodson's salary puts Packers in tough spot
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Aaron Rodgers wants to see Charles Woodson back with the Packers next season.
It's a public stance that makes sense for Rodgers to take. From the leader of the offense to the veteran leader of the defense, Rodgers is supporting a teammate of his from the past seven years.
"I think that's one of the top priorities," Rodgers said of Woodson on...
Five Worst Quarterbacks To Win A Super Bowl
In today’s NFL landscape, it’s the elite quarterback that has proven to be necessary for a team to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. In the last 10 years, the Super Bowl has been won by a quarterback named Brady, Roethlisberger, or Manning an astounding seven times; and that doesn’t include one-time winners Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. This year is the first year in a long time...
29 Replacments Added to Pro Bowl; Will You Still Watch?
As a fan, you vote for your favorite players to participate in the Pro Bowl granting them a huge honor, but in reality you secretly hope they are not participating. Most likely they aren’t.
This is a great time to be a replacement however. This year there will be a lot of them. 29 to be exact. To help fill an empty roster of injured players, such as Robert Griffin III, Matt Ryan...
