In the Bengals’ Wild Card loss to the Texans last Saturday, running back Cedric Benson totaled just 14 yards — and a score — on seven carries.
There’s more than a good chance that was the last we’ve seen of him in orange and black stripes.
Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Benson was “not pleased” with his role in the offense this past season, leading “many” to believe that he’s played his final snap in Cincy.
It seems Benson, an impending free agent, would agree with that sentiment.
“I don’t know what the future’s going to hold. You never know going into being a free agent, things like that,” said Benson, who signed a one-year deal during last training camp to remain with the team. “I don’t have any closed doors, so we’ll see what the future holds.”

My advice for T.O. is just to sign the IFL deal.
I doubt any of the teams left in the playoffs have any interest in adding T.O. as a Super Bowl ringer.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, discussion between the Wranglers and Owens continue, and a decision is expected within the next week or so.

Idle chatter - Bengals, Steelers, and playoffs
1. Despite that nightmare second half last week, should the Bengals feel good about their season?PAT MCMANAMON: Of course. Changing of the Guards?
One of the Bengals’ biggest needs heading into the offseason is an upgrade at the guard position. Both of them. Help might arrive in Round 1 of the draft with a pair of highly-touted prospects who could end up in Cincinnati’s stripes.
