Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told the media today that running back Cedric Benson will remain on injured reserve this season after undergoing surgery on his foot.

Even with the Benson the Packers’ running game was OK, without him they’ve been struggling even more. If they’re going to make a run in the playoffs, they’re going to need both Jame Starks and Alex Green to step up.
