Could the rumor be true? With receiver Jeremy Maclin fighting an injury, it only makes sense for the Eagles to bring in a new addition to the wide receiver spot. Chad Johnson might have some trouble past, but the Eagles will serve as his rehabilitation center. The Eagles coaching staff has had alot of experience with discarted players trying to re build their image. he would have a great support system in Philly. Philadelphia is all about second chances and it seems this might be the perfect time to give one. Not to mention he is a bigger WR who still has speed. His work-outs are legendary and he has always been popular with his team mates. With JAckson and Maclin looking like scratches this week. Could Philadelphia call Chad Johnson an Eagle? 5 hours past my bed time… if I miss this flight to Philly in the morning it’d definitely be a pisstified moment… — Chad Johnson (@ochocinco) September 18, 2012

Philadelphia Eagles: Week 3 NFL Power Rankings (#4)

Last week: 10 (+6) Record: 2-0 The Eagles have 9 turnovers in 2 games, but they’re 2-0. How does that happen? Well, when you lead the league in points per play differential with a differential of 1.5, all of a sudden, you can overcome those turnovers. Eagles place Kelce on IR, sign C Vallos

Eagles center Jason Kelce is out for the season with a knee injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Ravens. Kelce was placed on the season-ending injured reserve list and replaced on the roster by center Steve Vallos, who was in training camp with the Eagles and has played in 40 games in his career. He was a seventh-round pick of the Seahawks in 2007 and also played for the...

A replacement ref told LeSean McCoy about his fantasy team

The neverending, disastrous saga of the replacement referees somehow took another hit, just when you think things couldn't get worse after Monday night's surreal game between the Broncos and Falcons. During an interview on Monday, LeSean McCoy of the Eagles had some choice words about the referees from the Eagles' 24-23 win over the Ravens. "They're like...

LeSean McCoy Says Replacement Ref Told Him 'I Need You for My Fantasy Team'

When people say the replacement refs are not professional, they usually mean the stopgap officials are making bad calls or not keeping order on the field. It turns out they may not be professional in an even worse way. On the same day a line judge was yanked from covering the New Orleans game after the NFL found out he was unabashed Saints fan by looking at his Facebook page, Eagles...

Eagles win Battle of the Bulge vs. Ravens, 24-23...

This was a blood bath... it reminded me of a quote from an ancient Greek general named Pyyrhrus, who stated after winning a battle where he lost half his army in the process--- “Another victory like this, and we’re done for.”There were many casualties and much collateral damage to both the Eagles and the Ravens. Jason Kelce is probably out for the season with a severe knee...

This news was later confirmed by the Eagles. With Kelce going on IR, the Eagles quickly re-signed Steve Vallos. Vallos is an offensive lineman who played with the Eagles for the preseason....

Ravens second half collapse equals loss to Eagles

The Baltimore Ravens blew a 10 point halftime lead over the Philadelphia Eagles to fall to 1-1 on the year in a frustrating road loss. Michael Vick rushed for a touchdown with just under two-minutes remaining in the game to give the Eagles a 24-23 lead. Joe Flacco, who was simply awful in the second half, was not able to lead the Ravens to a game winning drive. Instead he missed...

DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to Start vs. Ravens

Mike Vick will have his full compliment of receivers today against the Ravens as both DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are active and will start. Jackson was limited this past week with a hamstring injury and Maclin has been dealing with a sore hamstring. Both players will need to have a productive game for the Eagles to beat the host Ravens.
