Chad Johnson would disgrace the Eagles if he ever put on the uniform.

As I previously stated the Eagles injuries at wide receiver are starting to mount.  Jeremy Maclin has a hip injury.  Fellow starter DeSean Jackson is nursing a hamstring strain.  Riley Cooper is recovering, albeit close to fully healed, from a broken collarbone.  That leaves career practice squad player who the Eagles initially cut, Mardy Gilyard and undrafted free agent Damaris Johnson as players who the Eagles must now rely on. They both have major upside, but offer little experience and are very unproven.

This has led Andy Reid and Howie Roseman to make a rash move to bring in the artist formerly known as Chad Ochocinco.  Now known as Chad Johnson once again, he has been cut from the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.  Both of those teams don’t exactly scream loaded at wide receiver.  Johnson may have been an incredible talent at one point, but his aging body is starting to give up on him.  However, Johnson’s worst attribute is from the neck up.  For every Peyton Manning with a football IQ through the roof there is a Johnson, who has zero ability to learn a playbook in an entire offseason let alone 5 days.

Not only does he not have ability to learn a play book, but his attitude doesn’t promote what the Eagles have been about this entire year either – tough team.  Just look at his most recent tweet “5 hours past my bed time… if I miss this flight to Philly in the morning it’d definitely be a pisstified moment…”  Seriously Johnson? That’s what you want to portray to the home of brotherly love and the blue collar worker? I hope you break an ankle in your workout - honestly who headbutts their wife? Go home and never come back to Philadelphia. You don’t deserve to wear Eagles’ green which has been so proudly worn by the likes of Steven Van Buren, Brian Dawkins and Reggie White.

Offseason upgrades on defense paying off for the Philadelphia Eagles

Image via Eagles Addict It defies logic—the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles have been able to overcome nine turnovers in two games to secure wins and and move to 2-0 record to start the 2012 season.  Pulling off this rare feat has been dificult—a single point secured the victory in both games, the first time this has happened in successive contests in NFL history. NFC East Beat: Philadelphia Eagles Winning Ugly

5 + 4 = 2.Somehow, improbably, the Philadelphia Eagles have 2 wins despite turning the ball over 9 times in eight quarters. It’s one thing to overcome sloppy play to beat Cleveland (as Philadelphia did in Week 1), but it’s somewhat shocking to be able to overcame those same mistakes against a team that bills itself as a Super Bowl contender.  But that’s just what the Eagles...

Chad Johnson Eagles Rumors Could Be True

Could the rumor be true? With receiver Jeremy Maclin fighting an injury, it only makes sense for the Eagles to bring in a new addition to the wide receiver spot. If Eagles can limit mistakes, 2012 should be a lot of fun

It may not be how you would have drawn up a 2-0 start for the Philadelphia Eagles, but it counts just the same. After their second one point win in two games, the only team to do so in NFL history, the Eagles sit atop the NFC East. The truth is, they have yet to play a good game. With 4 more turnovers against a good Baltimore Ravens team, you would think the Eagles would be licking...

Eagles suddenly very thin on OL...but subs did a nice job in final drive for win over Ravens...

It figures---the rare Sunday you only dress 7 offensive linemen for a game, and two of 'em get knocked out of the game. They were replaced by a former practice squad member (Dallas Reynolds), a player...
