Ochocinco buys headphones for entire Patriots roster

The Patriots' flight to Indianapolis was a lot more enjoyable thanks to Chad Ochocinco.

The wide receiver purchased the entire team Beats by Dre heaphones, according to the Boston Herald. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Ochocinco purchased 70 pairs of headphones.

In fact, some of Ochocinco's teammates have given him a shout out for his nice gesture via Twitter.

"Thanks Ocho. You the man," offensive lineman Nick McDonald tweeted along with a photo of the headphones' box.

Safety James Ihedigbo tweeted, "S/O to the big homie @Ochocinco for buying the whole team beatsbydre's!!!! #fresh."

Ochocinco's gesture is even more generous given the price tag on each pair of headphones. Beats by Dre headphones don't come cheap, and it's believed that Ochocinco doled out roughly $28,000 in total.

The Patriots wideout is making $6 million this season, though, so the gifts won't put much of a dent into his bank account.

He doesn't have much let in the tank, but he doesn't deserve your treatment. It's not like he wrote the story and gave it to the writer.   • you people should be ashamed of yourselves..as far as i see Chad has out just as much work in as anyone else on the team. NE requires all of their players dedication and hard work or he wouldn't be on the team. He's been an excellent blocker all season. When Belichick calls his number to do more he will be ready.

  • I love how you guys think he does it for publicity. Chad has always done things like this. When Chad was in Cincy he used to take people out and pick up the tab. He is always doing cool things for his teammates. He has also done that for people in the community such as tweeting about buying dinner for the first 64 people to come to the restaurant that he is at. But you guys are too busy blasting that. THe guy gives to the community. Get off his back. He is having fun and makes it enjoyable to watch. Maybe you guys want to watch flags being throw all the time for barely touching someone.

  • It's pretty interesting that a member of the team would buy a gift for all of the rest of the team that will encourage them to keep to themselves&NOT talk to each other the entire time they are traveling to the venue. Especially since It's the Super Bowl, and team chemistry is near the TOP of the list of things that are ESSENTIAL to the team's success in the Super Bowl. Way to be a team player OC.
