(By Joseph Person, jperson@charlotteobserver.com) During the NFL lockout, Panthers linebacker James Anderson worked out in the morning and hit the golf course in the afternoon.Anderson would go out to Pine Island Country Club with former Carolina teammate Quinton Teal and try to whittle his handicap down to single digits. In some respects, golf fits Anderson's quiet personality better than football - a thinking man's game where talking in someone's backswing is taboo - never mind screaming at someone standing over a putt.
