Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey was named the 46th-best player in the NFL by NFL Network on Wednesday. Bailey jumped up two spots from 2011, when he ranked 48th overall.
Bailey is the fifth (and presumably last) Bronco to make the network’s Top 100 Players of 2012 list, joining quarterback Peyton Manning (50th), outside linebacker Von Miller (52nd), defensive end Elvis Dumervil (68th) and running back Willis McGahee (98th). The players are voted onto the list by fellow players, according to the network.
“I still don’t know one player that voted for that list,” Tweeted defensive end Robert Ayers on Tuesday. Regardless, Bailey is on the list and deserves the recognition.
Bailey holds an NFL cornerback record of eleven Pro Bowl selections and was named an all-decade player of the 2000s. During his fourteen year career, Bailey has recorded 50 interceptions (32 as a Bronco, the fifth-most in franchise history).
“He’s a great pro, true pro veteran.

2005 was a magical season for the Denver Broncos. It was a perfect storm of desire and talent, along with a little luck, that launched the Broncos to a 13-3 record and a home Divisional Playoff game against the perennial Super Bowl favorite New England Patriots.
Most of us remember the play and the mind-losing experience it caused. The biggest irony...
On Wednesday, two Denver Bronco players — one offensive and one defensive — will be ranked between 41-and-50 on NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2012, the network has confirmed.
The two players will represent the fourth and fifth Broncos to make the list (joining No. 98 Willis McGahee, No. 68 Elvis Dumervil and No. 52 Von Miller). That’s a big improvement from 2011, when...
According to Lindsey Jones of the Denver Post, the Broncos have been monitoring the amount of throws quarterback Peyton Manning has been making each practice.
Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy said that they haven’t limited the types of throws or the distance of the throws that Manning’s been making.
“His reps will increase as we go,” McCoy said.
Ben Garland slipped out of his football uniform and donned his camouflage fatigues Wednesday for his swearing-in as a member of the Colorado Air National Guard in a ceremony outside the Denver Broncos headquarters.
He's now a public affairs officer whose civilian job is playing defensive tackle.
Garland, a 24-year-old from Grand Junction, Colo., attended the Air Force Academy...
“But a four-time MVP made you some QB that we used to know!”, laments the heartbroken Tim Tebow fan, body painted in Denver Broncos colors, singing to a framed picture of John Elway. Well done, Internets. Well done. Gotye’s got nothing on this.

On Wednesday, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was named the 50th-best player in the league by NFL Network. It’s a big drop for Manning, who was ranked 2nd overall in 2011.
The network’s reason for Manning’s low ranking is simple: He didn’t play a down last season. With that reasoning, wouldn’t it more logical to not...

Siri can't talk smack about BroncoTalk.net anymore.
We talk about ourselves about 1/100th as much as some other Broncos blogs out there, but every so often, something happens behind the scenes worth mentioning. Today definitely fits that bill.
BroncoTalk: there’s an app for that.
(It’s your phone’s built-in web browser, pointed at BroncoTalk.net. Still cool).
